Hi guys,
I have also tried the Unity 3.7 witch run nicely, and fast. However there are some problems. My machine is FuSi Amillo Pro 3405 V3, intel GMA, intel 945GM.
1 - Wifi support: missing ucode for intel 3945 wifi.
2 - No quirks (sleep, hibernate) function from logout menü, binded hotkeys are seems to be not working (F1-F7) (althrough ACPI working, and data's logged into dmesg). Backlight strenght control working, (F8-, F9+), but Sleep (F2), Volume control (F5 mute, F6-, F7+) not.
3 - Sometimes in smart - ibiblio server is stalled, and very slowly comes back to alive. However, undo changes, and cancel operation - really good works.
(OFF: Why we need both - NItrogen, ChBg - if PCManFM could handle desktop?)
By the way, it works very quietly on my machine, without big, major problems on LXDE.
Althrough, I have attached dmesg, and xorg logs for futher diag purposes.
